Chrysler Group will start manufacturing Fiat’s 1.4 liter Multiair engine at its Michigan factory by the end of 2010. Chrysler is investing an amount of US$179 million in preparing the Dundee facility. This will generate new job for 155 men & a total of 573 for the entire project. The annual capacity of the plant will be 100,000 engines which will power Mexican-built Fiat 500 and half of these Fiat 500s will be sold by selected Chrysler showrooms in US & the rest will be sold in Latin American countries itself.
General Motors recetly announced its wish to divorce stylish Swedish brand ‘Saab’. Not to worry, very soon Saab got a proposal from a sturdy Indian who wish to give a new life to Saab. India’s leading utility vehicle manufacturer Mahindra is interested to buy the Scandinavian brand Saab.
